To open a Live Chat session with a Help Desk consultant, you can open a browser tab, or click the grey button across the bottom of every page of the wiki. If no consultant is available, you will be prompted to submit an offline message, and the next available consultant will contact you at the email address you provide.

Schedule an Appointment

Need help with a mix, using the facility, or just want to improve your skills? Office hours and certifications will be held Wednesdays, 3p-5p during Fall 2021. Studio users encourage to attend office hours for mentoring and support from our staff. Please email dmcaudiohelp@umich.edu with questions.

Training Resources

Start or continue your audio training in the MSA Studios through Audio Studios 101 and our Studio Certifications. As well, our production guides are a great source for other information.

Collaboration Opportunities

As of April 1, our Winter 2022 studio production calendar is full. We are no longer accepting proposals for use of the Audio Studio for this semester. As well, certified users of the studios should be mindful that studio time is increasingly at a premium as we close out the Winter 2022 term. Please feel free to submit a proposal for Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 semesters.

Work With Certified Studio Engineers

If you are a musician looking for a certified studio engineer to collaborate with, you may send a request to audio.studio@umich.edu. This email address reaches all certified users in the studios.

Work With Staff Engineers

Faculty and graduate students who would like to work on a recording project with one of the DMC's professional audio engineers, are requested to submit an Audio Recording Project Support Request Form.

Interested in using the Video Studio? The studio may be reserved by members of the university community who have filled out an application.
